Buttermilk Fried Chicken
Chicken made with Oma's Fried Chicken Seasoning and marinated in buttermilk to make very juicy chicken. Great served with a Garden Salad and Potato salad.

- 6 - 8 chicken thighs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Mae's Oma's Fried Chicken Seasoning
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Mae's Oma's Fried Chicken Seasoning
- canola oil
Stir together salt, Mae’s Oma's Fried Chicken and oregano. Coat chicken with this mixture. Then coat with buttermilk. Refrigerate overnight or at least 8 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Stir together flour and second amount of Mae’s Oma's Fried Chicken. Remove chicken from the buttermilk and dredge each piece in the seasoned flour. Shake off any excess flour.
Heat some oil in cast iron. Cook chicken over medium – high heat about 3 – 5 minutes per side until lightly browned.
Then place in oven and cook for 20 minutes, flip and cook for another 20 minutes.
