Beer Can Chicken
Chicken made with Mae’s Chicken & Rib Rub. This beer can chicken is incredibly delicious, juicy and moist. This chicken is baked to crispy perfection then finished off with BBQ sauce. The steam from the beer creates an unbelievably moist chicken. Great served with corn on the cob and Caesar salad.

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 can beer
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 - 4 tbsp Mae's Seasonings Chicken & Rib Rub
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- OVEN: Preheat oven to 425 F and place beer can roaster in a baking dish or cookie sheet.
- Place the beer in the beer can roaster but only half of the beer. Drink the other half if you wish.
- Place the chicken on the beer then brush with olive oil and then Mae’s Chicken & Rib Rub. You should do this with your hands to get in everywhere. You want a nice coating all over the chicken.
- Bake for 1 hour then check to see if it’s done. Using a meat thermometer it should read 165 F. If not place in the oven until cooked.
- Brush BBQ sauce all over and cook for additional 5 – 10 minutes to glaze the chicken.
- Remove from oven and carefully lift the chicken off the beer and let rest for 15 minutes before carving.
- BBQ: Use indirect heat by only lighting half of the burners. Turn to medium – high and cover for 1 hr then check until its done then brush with BBQ sauce. Follow above directions on how to prepare the chicken for roasting.
